Congratulations to the Winners of Swan Regional Series 2021
2021 was a successful year for the Swan Rating Racing, with the kick-off edition of the Swan Regional Series we have developed in the Med, in North America and in the Baltic Sea. An overall attendance of over 90 Swan yachts marked the Beta version of this international series which we will develop further in 2022, with new Regions and a customized scoring system. We are so proud to see how Swan yachts performed all around the world, and the best is yet to come!

ARC Race
21 November - 17 December, Las Palmas to Santa Lucia
Twelve Swan yachts competed in the ARC, ten of them in I Cruising class.
A great adventure across the Atlantic on the Swan 98 Drifter Cube, which made the crossing in 13 days, finishing 5th over the line and taking the win in the Cruising A and Cruising All divisions.
Moreover, Swan 65 Cuordisole was 2nd in Cruising Class A while Swan 65 Vahine was 3rd in Cruising Class B. In that class, another Swan 65 gained a great result: 5th place for Blue Magic.
In Cruising Class C, Swan 51 Eira got the 2nd place and in Cruising Class E the 3rd place was for Swan 48 Montana.

Sydney Hobart Classic Yacht Regatta
10-12 December, Sydney
Congratulations to Steven Capell and the crew of Swan 65 Eve taking the win in Division 1 of the 2021 Sydney Hobart Classic Yacht Regatta.
Steven Capell steered Eve to the overall win in Division 1 after winning both races.
He was presented with the Koomooloo Trophy, a beautiful vintage model of the 1968 Tattersall Cup winner, Koomooloo, generously donated to the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia by Norman Rydge
Eve is also attending the iconic Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race: fair winds!

RORC Transatlantic Race
Start on January 8th - Lanzarote
With an overall attendance of 32 boats, two yachts represent Nautor in this iconic regatta; the brand new Swan 58 OM II together with her smaller sister Swan 57 EQUINOCCIO.
The RORC Transatlantic Race will start on January 8th from Lanzarote, and will see the fleet cross the Atlantic to Grenada to the finish 3.000 nautical miles later around January 29th

You have been traveling for many months. Could you tell us the place you loved most and why?
Hard question. Each place has different landscapes. What’s better between exceptional waterfalls in the tropical forests of the Commonwealth of Dominica or diving with penguins and hammerheads in Isabella (Galapagos)? The locals are friendly and helpful in every place and we’ve made friends in Dominica and Panama, some of which we have seen in different countries this year. We can’t just pick one place.

It seems incredible how fast 2021 has gone by.... 2021 for sure will be remembered as the year that we returned to cruising and racing. These times serve to look back, and from NSGS we can't be happier. 2021 has been full of new projects, new boats and above all a lot of hard work and great results. Global Service is growing and being closer to the yachts, owners, and crews. Mast unstep Valdettaro 112 - REE
Have you ever seen how a 112 footer is de-rigged?
NSGS boatyards are not all about Swans. Good proof of this is our great friend Ree who trusts us for more than 5 years. This year it was their turn to unstep the mast and make a service of the rig and this is the result. A perfect operation for our rigging team.

Swan 58-006 commissioning
Another boat is successfully commissioned and delivered by NSGS team in Badalona. The team worked hard to finish all the works on time and this means that there is another happy owner sailing around with this fantastic boat. Always a pleasure to share this special time with a new Swan Owner.

Refit Overview - Sloop 78 Ladisea
Ladisea was one of the big projects of last winter season and we are really proud of the result.
After being struck by lightning in the Caribbean in 2019, the boat finally arrived at the boatyard after more than a year battling with the insurer. The boat was in pretty bad shape, with many paint defects on hull and deck, water leaks, flooded bilges and burnt electrical and electronic wiring.
