Swan One Design Worlds
Valencia (ESP), 5 - 9 July
The historic Spanish port city of Valencia takes its turn in the spotlight this week with the arrival of one of the undoubted highlights of the ClubSwan Racing season, the Swan One Design Worlds.
With the high-profile title of World Champion 2022 there to be earned in three one-design classes – ClubSwan 36, ClubSwan 42 and ClubSwan 50 – the competitive regatta will provide the arena for a clash of the titans.

Three Swan yachts competed in ORC 0-1 Class and Luis Senis Segarra's Swan 45 Porron IX placed 1st while Alberto de Castro's Brujo who finished 3rd in the same class.

ORC World Championship
Porto Cervo (ITA), 22 - 30 June
The Offshore Sailing World Championship, organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in collaboration with the Offshore Racing Congress drew to a close on June 30th, with a total number of seven races held.
Claiming 2nd place in the Class A Division was the Swan 45 owned by Argentinian Fernando Chain, with a 2-3 scoreline on the final day of racing today.
In the Class B division, second place, three points behind the winner was the ClubSwan 42 Mela, owned by Andrea Rossi (4-3 today), with another of our Swans, the ClubSwan 42 Katariina II who took third place.

Rolex Giraglia
10 - 18 June, 2022
After two years of interruption due to the health crisis, the inshore races of the Rolex Giraglia were back in the stunning Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the winner was the Swan 45 FROM NOW ON, beating their rivals by four points after taking two bullets on the final two inshore races of the Rolex Giraglia.
That Swan 45 also placed 5th in ORC 1 class.

NYYC 168 Annual Regatta
Newport (USA), 10 - 12 June, 2022
North America's oldest annual regatta featured three great days of racing where Swan yachts shined. Swan 55 HAERLEM gained 1st place in PHRF 3 during the Around-the-Island Race held on June 10th.
Two ClubSwan 42 placed 2nd and 3rd in ORC C class, namely Impetuous and Tio Loco.

Seventy yachts registered for Rolex Swan Cup 2022

Two months to the iconic Rolex Swan Cup and more seventy yachts have already enrolled to compete in a week full of excitement and fun.
Among them, Swan 48 Mia owned by Mr. Luigi Stoppani.
"The flame of my passion for sailing took to the wind during the last RSC celebrated, in 2018, until then I was a charterer by chance. The spectacle that I was able to enjoy, between the beautiful days at the end of the season, the boundless beauty of the sea, the Maddalena archipelago and the parade of a competition representing ingenuity, ability, passion, and sportsmanship were my personal "great beauty". I immediately set about transforming that mirage, first into a dream and then into reality.
I arrived, therefore, for the start of the 2020 edition in the front line, with my new boat, named MIA (MINE) all luster, ready to give my best and eager to close the loop but nothing happened out of shared prudence.
I didn't give up, I wanted to try MIA and myself anyway, I headed straight for Malta for the Rolex Middle Sea Race (my first regatta ever).
From then on, I persisted in my journey, passing through various regattas and splendid cruises, always with the intention of broadening my horizons.
From this edition I expect a great collective enthusiasm and the personal hope that at least those days will give us a moment of abstraction and detachment from the thoughts that recent times offer us.

Swan 90 Nefertiti

Why did you choose Nautor’s Swan and how does it feel to be a Swan owner?
We chose Swan for Nautor’s extraordinary reputation and the certainty that the collaboration with Frers would guarantee a wonderful yacht. We are very happy with this decision and feel very privileged to own the first of the new model, but always part of a long story.
How was the launch experience?
It went very well. We have a fantastic relationship with the Australian rep and the experience luckily included a trip to the factory in Finland which was fantastic.

Summer solstice, also called midsummer in some of the northern European regions, has just passed. Traditionally, this marks the start of the summer season in the Northern Hemisphere.
Most of the new yachts recently completed had been already delivered in our hometown of Pietarsaari. This means that we’re in the peak of the season for NSGS, attending all the recently launched boats, plus the rest of the fleet that is enjoying the summer. The NSGS team is working hard in Pietarsaari for the commissioning and familiarization, and equally at the Service yards of Badalona, Palma, Scarlino and Villefranche. And most probably you will find our team as well, traveling through the Mediterranean harbors during the summer.

Cargo ship transportation from Finland to USA
NSGS team based in Pietarsaari - Finland, coordinated and executed the preparation, transfer and loading onto a cargo ship of four brand new Swans 48s on their way to the USA.
The four yachts had been transferred from our hometown in Pietarsaari to Rauma, FIN, loaded onto the cargo ship, and they’re currently on their way to Baltimore USA.
Collaboration between Nautor’s operations department and the Worldwide Assistance team has been the key success factor for this project.
Stay tuned for the arrival of the 48s in the USA during the next days, where the boats willl be delivered and familiarization completed to their new proud owners, on time for the summer season.

Aquatic Drones/GPS Seaboats
Proud to announce that this month we welcomed the company GPA Seabots to our Badalona facilities to test their aquatic drones for cleaning marine facilities like ports and beaches. These drones can even remove floating debris and hydrocarbons.
Our company Nautor’s Swan Global Service believes in improving the environment and is accredited with ISO14001 as well as collaborating with Club EMAS in its Circular Economy Project where companies and entities collaborate to optimize resources such as the reuse of materials.

The job was not easy but the team found solutions to make a temporary repair in time to save our cruising program.
