January 2013 Newsletter
Thanks to everyone who came out to our last meeting and those of you who have contacted us via the Facebook page and e-mail. We love to hear from you. This month we have some announcements as well as some follow-up from our January meeting.
Please "like" our new page located here https://www.facebook.com/SaskatoonMQG If you are currently part of the group it will be closing shortly, all info is being migrated to the new pages.
We have some changes to the meetings!
Regular Sunday meetings have been moved to the 4th Sunday of the month! The first one of these will be Sunday January 27th at 2pm at Periwinkle. The reason for this is that we have a new meeting! We will be adding in a Wednesday night meeting. These will be held the second Wednesday of the month, from 7pm-9pm at the Co-op Grocery store on 8th Street. There is a meeting room beside the pharmacy. The first Wednesday night meeting will be February 13th.
Please bring your ugliest FQ to our next Sunday meeting - details to be announced at the meeting.
Madrona Road Challenge - January (Due February 24)
We are lucky to be participating in the Michael Miller challenge for January. Fabric has now been distributed to participating members. Just a reminder you can add more Madrona Road (Periwinkle has several prints) or solids, but no fabric from other lines can be added to your finished project. Have fun! We can't wait to see what you make.
Want to become a member? Fees have been set at $20 for the calender year to cover incidental costs. If you would like to attend meetings and find value in what we are doing we encourage you to become a member. Membership forms and cards will be available at all of our meeting. If possible bring cash (to keep costs down we will be operating with cash only).
Want to check us out first?
No problem! Come to 2 meetings before deciding if membership is right for you.
Want to join later in the year or have a friend who wants to join?
We will gladly prorate membership for portions of the year (monthly).
Thank you so much for the support and enthusiasm so far! Our door is always open - get in touch with ideas, comments, questions, concerns, and topic suggestions for upcoming meetings!
