The Manitoba Eco-Network invites you to our annual Reel Green fundraising gala. With host Terry MacLeod, the evening will feature a series of inspiring short films celebrating our natural environment and those working to protect it. We’ll award the annual Anne Lindsey Protecting Our Earth Awards, serve up some great food and drink and have some fun eco-themed prizes and auctions. More information and tickets.

The Watershed - IISD-ELA Gala Fundraising Event
March 14 - Tom Hendry Warehouse, Winnipeg

Preview performance of The Watershed, a documentary play inspired by the story of IISD Experimental Lakes Area. The Watershed depicts Annabel Soutar’s cross-country journey with her family, investigating the forces that are shaping the future of our natural resources. Meet Annabel Soutar, enjoy some hors d'oeuvres and a performance of this timely and thought-provoking piece of theatre. Proceeds from this fundraising event will help continue the important work of IISD Experimental Lakes Area. More information and tickets.

Campaign for World Water Day

World Water Day 2017, on March 22, is all about wastewater, and how we should be reducing and reusing it rather than letting it go down the drain. Download your inspiration. Go to our new website to find out more about wastewater, read stories and get shareable content in several languages. You can also set up an event to raise awareness and publish it on our map. We would love to promote your activities, so use #WorldWaterDay and we’ll make sure to share what you're doing. Toxins found in marine life in deepest part of Pacific Ocean

Shrimp-like creatures living in the deepest parts of the oceans contain high levels of man-made toxins, scientists said on Monday. Researchers tested creatures found more than 10,000 metres below the surface.
