Dear Reader,
9 November 2016

Welcome to Issue 177 of the sportanddev newsletter!

This week’s installment provides a diverse sampling of articles and commentaries published in the last two weeks. Sport’s ability to bridge differences and sooth tensions is known, but what are some of today’s concrete examples? Charlotte Grégoire takes a look at the context of the Balkan region while the Kick Project calls upon FIFA to use its influence for positive change in the West Bank.

We also have the last article in our India series, and an interesting opportunity to recognise various actors in female sports. Lastly, sportanddev.org will be covering the annual Peace and Sport forum through articles and on our social media in the coming weeks.

Enjoy your reading,
