Dear Readers,

Welcome to issue 187 of the newsletter!

The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) is just over a week away. We hope your plans are progressing well. We are publishing updates from the community on what you are doing to celebrate if you haven’t already shared your plans then we would love to hear from you. has been busy publishing the latest news, updates and tools to make the day a success, and these are shared in this newsletter.

Elsewhere in this issue, our French article stays on the topic of IDSDP, as Peace and Sport officially launches its #WhiteCard campaign. This was not the only important event in the past two weeks, as #Morethanfootball Action Week was launched in Lisbon. Beginning tomorrow, it provides European professional football clubs, foundations, community trusts and their delivery organisations with the chance to showcase the impact of their investments.

Finally, this newsletter also highlights the latest developments in Switzerland, where an initiative to bring together NGOs using sport in development is gathering pace.

We hope that you all enjoy this year’s International Day of Sport for Development and Peace and we look forward to following developments on 6 April.

Enjoy your reading,

Paul Hunt
