GLM at Liveringa Station, Western Australia

Participants going through the steps involved to complete a feed budget. A successful Grazing Land Management workshop was held recently at Liveringa Station. The workshop honed participant skills on a range of topics pertinent to a cattle station, including managing land condition, grazing radius, wet season burning and options for weed control. Cattle Welfare Standards open for comment

The draft Animal Welfare Standards and Guideline for Cattle and Sheep are available for public comment. All producers are invited to have their say on the proposed changes to the guidelines. Read more about the welfare standards and provide your feedback.

Vaccine arrives for deadly Hendra virus

A breakthrough vaccine has been developed to protect horses against the lethal Hendra virus. The vaccine will break the cycle of virus transmission from flying fox to horse to human and is the most effective defense against Hendra. See here for more information.
