Attention grant seekers! The categories below represent our current grant opportunities, including those that support our goals to create an equitable community and strengthen regional vitality.

The African American Giving Initiative is accepting grant applications for projects that directly reduce an identified disparity and lead to systemic change. Applications must be postmarked by Saturday, April 15.

This funding supports programs that seek to improve the quality of Rochester's early childhood system, with preference given to those serving children in the City of Rochester. Applications must be submitted by 5PM on Wednesday, May 17.
These opportunities provide funding in the areas of aging, arts and culture, children, education, health, and historical preservation. There are no set deadlines; applications are reviewed as they are received.

The John F. Wegman Fund supports concerns of the elderly, character-building opportunities for youth, and improved labor/management relations. Applications must be submitted by 4PM on Friday, May 12.

This funding supports projects and programs that specifically address important community historical needs and opportunities. Applications must be submitted by 5PM on Thursday, May 18.

Bullis Fund:

Supports programs focused on improving the quality of life for Wayne County residents, with a special focus in the Palmyra-Macedon area. Applications must be submitted by 4PM on Friday, May 12.
The Summer Meals Capacity Building Mini-Grant Program seeks to increase the number of children up to age 18 in the City of Rochester receiving summer meals and the number of days meals are served. This opportunity is open to programs that have provided Summer Meals in previous years. Preference will be given to applications postmarked or emailed by Tuesday, May 9.
The LGBT Giving Circle is accepting applications from nonprofits that serve, are inclusive of, or are allied with the LGBT community and have programs that foster collaboration. Applications must be postmarked or emailed by Thursday, August 17.

The Green City grant program is under review and is not accepting applications at this time. Please look for updates in future editions of News You Can Use.

The Community Foundation encourages grant seekers to use objective data in their grant applications. Consider ACT Rochester as one source to support this expectation.

Help Us Promote Your Good Work

If your organization recently received a Community Foundation grant, consider submitting photographs from the supported activities for possible use in our newsletters, website, or Facebook page, which reach thousands of donors, community leaders, and other nonprofit organizations. Please complete and submit an Image Use Release Form with your photographs to be considered for use.
