2023 Budget Approved at Board Meeting

The annual budget for 2023 was approved by the Board of Directors of Inspiration Metropolitan District on November 8th. View the 2023 Budget. Prior year information can be found on the Financials page of our website. To summarize the main effects on residents are:

  • There will be no change to fee assessments.
    • The quarterly fee of $294 will remain the same in 2023, it has been the same amount since 2020. 
  • There was a reduction of 13.8 mills in the IMD total mill levy for budget year 2023.  
    • This lower mill levy amount will be reflected in residents' annual Douglas County Tax statement: 2022 Property Taxes due in 2023.
    • The total mill levy for 2023 will be 54.125 mills, versus the 67.908 total mill levy that has been in effect since 2020.
The reduction of 13.8 mills in 2023 could reduce an average IMD resident's portion of their Douglas County annual tax bill by approximately $720 when compared to 2022. This assumes an average home assessed value of $750,000 in both years, and the same Colorado Residential Assessment rate in each year. Play Structure Replacement Project Underway at Pathfinder Park

The play structure replacement project is underway. The existing play structure has been removed and the area is fenced off. Work is expected to be complete at the end of the week or shortly thereafter. A set of four swings and monkey bars will also be installed this week. The shade sail provided by the developer will be installed over a portion of the play area at a later date.
