Independence Day Kids' Parade

Come celebrate July 4th at Inspiration Club with our patriotic parade. Decorate your bike, wagon, stroller, or yourself at the decoration station at 10am and join the parade at 11am. Various crafts will be available for decorating before we set out on a parade route. Post-parade activities include sidewalk chalk, kickball, and popsicles at the pool.

Any parents who can help are encouraged to join us at 10am. Meet in the pool parking lot. Thank you to our residents Sue and Alaina for organizing this festive holiday event!

Trash Pickup Next Thursday - One Day Delay for Holiday

Waste Connections will be picking up trash and recycling on Thursday next week, instead of the usual Wednesday collection, due to the Independence Day holiday. Please contact their customer service for any questions, special item pickup, or missed deliveries.
Free Outdoor Water Use Assessments
By Rick Forsman
Aurora Water offers free outdoor water assessments to troubleshoot your irrigation system and give you information to maximize its efficiency. View more information and schedule a water assessment. Aurora Water also has a DIY outdoor water assessment guidebook to help you conduct your own assessment. You can sign up for the free "Know your Flow" service to receive monthly reports on your home water use and weekly tips.

Observations from BrightView, our landscape management company: New homes are often set up to overwater newly installed plant materials. Overwatering of turf keeps oxygen from reaching the roots, produces shallow roots that become heat stressed, fosters insects and disease, and washes out fertilizers. More judicious watering runs the system less often but in repeated short cycles for better water penetration. This forces deeper rooting and better tolerance of hot summer days. Heads may need to be adjusted if you see brown areas appearing in the lawn.

Congratulations to the many homeowners who are replacing lawns with xeriscaping this summer! Our neighborhoods are taking on a new look with plantings appropriate for our high-desert climate.

If you observe leaks or other irrigation issues in the common areas, please notify us via the Issue form.

Fence Staining Update

The developer is staining fences in filings 8, 10 and 14. The exterior and tops of the fence rails and posts will be stained. Please protect any personal property in the back of your lot, specifically near the fence. The stain is applied by spraying. Care will be taken by the work crews but the developer advises that a minor amount of overspray may be unavoidable and any clean-up will be the responsibility of the homeowner.

If you have anything attached to the fence, please remove those items as soon as possible until the work has been done. Fences in filing 8 and filing 10 phase 2 will be checked for attachments on Friday, 7/1.

View previous newsletters for prior announcements. View a filing map.
