Have Your Say in One Family’s Latest Research

We are seeking parents to take part in an online survey on the experiences of young children living in families where parents are separated. The survey is being carried out by a joint research team from Trinity College Dublin and University College Cork on behalf of One Family. The research project is funded through the RTE Toy Show Appeal and Community Foundation for Ireland Fund and is seeking to develop guidance on contact time for infants and young children in separated families.
Complete the Survey
The survey is open to Mums and Dads who have experience of sharing parenting of a child or children when they were aged 0-6 years old. Parents can answer for past experiences, once their child is under 18 years of age at time of responding. The survey is open until 31st of March and will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.

E-Learning Courses for Parents

One Family offers five e-learning courses, which are courses you take in your own time, in the comfort of your own home. These courses have specific content for those parenting alone or sharing parenting but in general the programme supports all family forms.

Our Policy Submissions:

Our submission to the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth on the Next National Framework for Children and Young People in Ireland called for the development of a national child poverty strategy and better services for children in one-parent families.

Our submission to the Low Pay Commission on the National Minimum Wage called for the introduction of a living wage, based on the cost of living, as committed to in the Programme for Government.

Our submission and presentation to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Gender Equality focused on the need for a constitutional referendum to recognise and cherish all families equally.
