The tentative teaser, before you join the next meeting
Are you frequently walking out of meetings wondering why you were invited in the first place? If so, consider using a Tentative Teaser next time you receive an invite.
Why?
There's a great TED talk by David Grady. He talks about "No MAS" (Mindless Accept Syndrome). He turned around the meeting culture in his company by using one button in Outlook.
I suggest you watch the whole talk. But to put it in one line, the next time your receive a meeting invitation, reply with a "tentative" accept and ask if you are really needed, what is expected from you and if unclear what is on the agenda.
