Practice makes perfect
It's the little things you do every day that make a difference. So keep up the good work. Where you can, spread the word. We're always happy to help any of your contacts along on the Speedmailing path. To close off, here are a few trouble-shooting tips:
Do your inbox visits take too long?
- Use your Tip bar to make quick decisions on where to sort your new messages. Use the keyboard shortcuts for speedsorting. Remember your Postman hat; don't think, just sort.
- Check how well you stick to the 2-minute rule. Are there too many 2-minute rule messages, tighten your filter to 1 minute responses.
Is your DO THIS WEEK folder filling up?
- Use the weekly check to improve your sorting skills. Are you regularly too optimistic about what you can get done? Try to be more upfront about delegating or saying "No" to your contacts.
- If you find aging items here, move them to a different action folder or file them.
- Perhaps you have been too slack on the two minute rule and move too many into your TO DO. Then spend an hour or so killing all the short actions on your TO DO. Do them or put them in HOLDING FOR LATER!
