September 2015

The recent rain has meant a let-up in the watering
, and so we have time at last to write a newsletter!  We do hope some of you will be able to make it to our 'Glorious Grasses' weekends; we spent a busy spring propagating lots of new varieties, as well as some older ones that we haven't listed for a long time. Autumn is in the air, and with the rain it is now an ideal planting time - so we've made a few suggestions below.
Don't forget the nursery is open to visitors until the end of October.

Glorious Grasses Weekends
12th - 13th Sept and 10th - 11th Oct
9.30am - 5.00pm

This autumn we have one of our best ever selections of grasses available for sale - why not come and see for yourself at our Glorious Grasses weekends?  There should be plenty in flower, and some autumn colour too.  In particular, we have an extensive range of Miscanthus and Panicum this year, as well as a selection from our National Collection of Molinia.  Tim will be on hand to give information and advice, and we will even rustle up some tea and biscuits.  Don't worry if you can't make these weekends - we are open as usual on Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the end of October.  For those of you who can't make the trip here, you can browse our grasses selection online.
