Friday 22nd & Saturday 23rd April - 7.30pm
Introduction wording by concert organiser Chico Holton
I am sure, like me you have been horrified watching the TV News coverage coming out of Ukraine. Seeing how their neighbouring countries have come to their aid has been inspiring. I felt I had to do something to help and this is it.

Knowing lots of fabulous musicians and having always been well supported by The Athenaeum team in the past, I thought I’d put the two together and organised this Concert For Ukraine.

All musicians and the Athenaeum’s team are donating their talent and services for free.

The tickets are very reasonably priced to hopefully pack the theatre with a generous audience. There will also be ample opportunities to donate further cash on the nights for those who feel would like to do give more.

All money made will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee. I chose this because the Government are donating up to £25,000,000 of money donated, so basically the government are doubling our donation.

I’m beginning to panic a little bit now that we will get two full houses. There are only 225 seats to fill each night. That is 450 seats to fill.

I’m confident Warminster will rise to the challenge and 450 seats aren’t that many for a town the size of Warminster.

Hurry up! Get your tickets. I think you’ll not only feel good about yourself, but you’ll have a great evening at the Athenaeum.
