Powering Possibilities - Lessons Learned from Mini-grid Application in Conflict and Fragile Contexts

This webinar will highlight the importance of mini-grids for community electrification and productive uses, focusing on the different ownership/business models as well as the challenges/opportunities for mini-grid applications in conflict-affected contexts.
SEforALL will set the scene, followed by three case studies from Yemen, Gaza and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). UNDP Yemen will showcase an innovative community-owned mini-grid project, followed by experiences from Nuru on commercial implementation of a 1.3 MW system in Goma, DRC. ICRC will close, with insights and possibilities for mini-grid implementation in Gaza. Read more…
