Welcome Back to School. Welcome Back to TexQuest!. We hope you are as excited about the new year and all the new TexQuest resources as we are. This issue of the TexQuest X-Press focuses on actions you can take to get these resources up and running - and into the hands of your students and teachers. Your users can't find the resources until you provide the links! Continue here for a plan to power up with new TexQuest resources.

Power up TexQuest usage!  Encourage your users to plug in to TexQuest resources with this seasonal flyer. You can download a fillable version in Adobe and add your access information, or print the blank version and get creative. Add usernames and/or passwords - any information that will help your users identify and access TexQuest. Continue here to access both versions of this flyer.

The TexQuest Resource Guide has been updated. Resources from new providers have been added, and columns now focus on the contents of each resources, as well as the most popular features.

This guide, and the slide show Thirteen Ways TexQuest Helps You Reach Students  (which aligns to the content and features highlighted in the Resource Guide) can be copied and edited to suit the needs of your district. Link them to your websites or send links to your teachers to insure that you always have the latest version. Your patience is appreciated as we update all TexQuest documents and slide shows with the new resources. Continue here for the guide and slide show.
Basic DIY training is now available for all TexQuest resources. TexQuest providers have created "how to" videos, grouped by content level, for those of you who will be teaching other educators how to use the TexQuest resources. Each video of less than 30 minutes was created with the goal that a librarian or technologist could watch the video, and then turn it around for professional development. Continue here for DIY Basic Training videos.

Additional training resources for all TexQuest providers can be found on the TexQuest Provider Support pages.

ESC TexQuest training includes mini-conference, build your own training, and resource integration sessions. TexQuest providers crossed the state of Texas this summer providing face to face training, as well as our first ever mini-conferences. TexQuest training sessions are free and open to anyone. Check the TexQuest calendar or check with your ESC TexQuest contact to see if training events are planned at an ESC near you. TexQuest participants can attend training at any ESC.
Campus customization with new providers can be requested by individual campuses. If you have customized your campus username and password for TexQuest resources and want to use the same credentials with the new providers, you many contact them directly. District customized usernames and passwords, or IP authentication, are still coordinated through the support center. Continue to Access FAQs for forms and addresses for customization.

Please share your Integration & Promotion Activities with other TexQuest users. The best ideas come from librarians like Darvin Keonig from Sharyland who got a great response from his ELA teachers when he sent them resource links for all of the novels they are teaching this year from TeachingBooks.net. Follow this link to TexQuest.net/IPAs to read about his idea and others.

Get the news about TexQuest resources and how districts around the state are using them. Sign up for TexQuest X-Press and share the link with other TexQuest users. Back issues are cataloged online at TexQuest.net.  Remember, the TexQuest Support Center is here to serve you. Don't hesitate to contact us.
