Welcome to the first issue of TexQuest X-Press!

TexQuest experienced a busy first year.  While access, use, and promotional materials are updated on, we know busy educators don't have time to check regularly. This monthly newsletter gives you a quick overview of what's new, as well as resources you may have overlooked or forgotten. Click at the end of each short article for the rest of the story at Please share this newsletter with your TexQuest friends and encourage them to join us. Continue to sign up.

Access for all TexQuest resources available from one page. Although users can't sign in to all TexQuest resource providers simultaneously, access is now available for each resource from the first page of by clicking on the icon or link - with user names/passwords. The Gale user name is the school or district location id (j+TEA number). Direct links from school websites should have the location ID (user name) embedded. Continue to Search page.

Share an IPA with other TexQuest educators. We are looking for IPA's (Integration/Promotion Activities) to share with the TexQuest community. An IPA is any way you connect students, faculty, or families with TexQuest resources -  from a promotional idea to a full blown lesson plan.  We can't give you riches if we use your IPA on the TexQuest website or in presentations, but we can give you credit, our undying gratitude, and, most importantly, the appreciation of other TexQuestrians. Continue to submit an IPA.
Gale's National Geographic Kids now has videos!  Along with full text E-books and magazines, article searches, and all those fabulous images, National Geographic Kids now offers access to 92 videos, each 3 to 6 minutes in length. Continue to learn more.
