This week in worship, we will be considering the concept of reconciliation. What does reconciliation look like in the Christian life? How can we bring about reconciliation in our own sphere of influence?

Dr. Caveney will be leading the worship service and Tomas Bijok, KUC Music Director will be leading the music.

We will be observing communion this Sunday.

Ethan's Message for KUC

This Sunday we will be giving away these booklets to end the summer art projects. I will also be there at the end of the service to answer any questions you may have about the projects. Thank you all for your support and feedback over the course of the summer.

Hi Affirming People!

KUC Started the Pride Weekend at the first Pride Resource Carnival on Friday evening. We took the lovely bean bag toss that Bill Paul made. It was decorated by Candace's enthusiastic kids, and all the prizes were donated by Jackie Jones. Big thank you to all! We had a great time playing the game with all the young people who came out and making connections that Church and LGBTQ can go together!
Thank you so much to all of you who came out to be PIE last Sunday! There were well over 20 of us at the parade and at the park setting up our booth for the afterparty. All in all it was a wonderful day!

Today I am thinking about the powerful show of support at the parade; there were more people participating and enjoying the parade than I expected and I am very grateful to the KUC folk who showed up!
I also noticed that there were so many youths watching the parade and interacting with us at our booth. I am also recollecting a few of the impactful conversations that were had; the engagement at our booth was amazing!

The person needs to be able to do; cleaning, and nightly security and be able to greet groups who use the building in a helpful manner. This job includes health and dental benefits, $16/hr.

11th Assembly of the
World Council of Churches

The 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches (WCC) is about to begin in Karlsruhe, Germany. The Assembly, a meeting of the WCC’s highest governing body, takes place August 31–September 8, with the theme “Christ's Love Moves the World to Reconciliation and Unity.” United Church of Canada delegates, selected through the church’s nomination process, will share in prayer and celebration while participating in crucial decision-making. Several members of the delegation have leading roles in the Assembly.
