One week into the Funny Looking Fringe at the Liverpool Comedy Festival!

Wow! What a week it has been!

The  Funny Looking Fringe at the Liverpool Comedy Festival is coming to an end...

So many great gigs.
So many great audiences.
So much support from so many people.

Some lovely comments about the 'buzz' around the Fringe.  And that can only come from the quality of the acts and peformers, the brilliant support of the volunteer team, the generosity of the audiences coming out to support and the mighty 81 Renshaw St. Its the support from Bronwen and her team that has made the difference.

And there is still more to come!
Really good stuff champs.

If you have a peep around the list there is a smattering of 2-4-1's and a couple of hidden freebie tickets for gigs as well...

It wouldn't be fair to highlight any of the gigs coming up but I'm telling you now this is a strong finish guys. Just have a look at what we've got to offer.

Next week will be the third and final Fringe email. Back to monthly, don't you worry!

Funny Looking Fringe is a grass roots endevour entirely funded by ticket sales. Come down and support live comedy!

Thurs: Simon Caine & Kate McCabe

7pm – Simon Caine: Buddhism And Cats
If you got your idea of adulthood from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. but reality hasn’t lived up to the expectation, if you live more in your head than in the moment and if you feel connected online and profoundly disconnected from people offline, then this is the show for you.

9pm – Kate McCabe: Stuff & Nonsense
Kate McCabe is affable as hell. She used to live in America. Now she lives here. Watch a creeping British cynicism try to get the best of her tireless American optimism. Which will win? Or will both traits kill each other halfway across the Atlantic? Come and find out.

Friday: John Wilson & Hayley Ellis

7pm – John Wilson: JOHNFOOLERY
This will be John’s 3rd time performing at the Liverpool Comedy Festival but already his SECOND hour-long show (he missed the first year due to smallpox) so don’t miss out on the chance to see one of comedies future star up close and in person for the low low price of £6.00 #Bargain

9pm – Hayley Ellis: FOMO

Hayley Ellis has Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO to the kids).
Join award-winning Ellis (tour support for Rob Delaney and regular contributor for BBC Two’s Russell Howard’s Good News) for her follow-up hour to find out how neurotic we all really are.
As featured in the top Fringe jokes of all time in the – Scotsman and the Independent.

Sat: AhhGee & Holly Burn

7pm – The Ahhgee Crow-Barred in Material Emporium
Consider this a conjugal visit but rather than any mucky business we’re bringing sketches, daftness and most importantly a quiz.
See a video HERE

9pm – Holly Burn: I AM SPECIAL
Holly’s special, she knows it… but when will everyone else catch on?! The loud voice of Generation Y wants it all, without doing anything to get it.
“A proper mad comedian” Stewart Lee’s Fringe Recommendation 2015
A gloriously silly woman with a warped mind and a cheerful disregard for shame.★★★★ (Chortle)
James Acaster’s Top Comedy Picks 2015 -The Guardian : “One of my favourite acts to watch ever.”

5pm -Freddy Quinne – Entfremdung (Work in Progress)
Award-winning comedian Freddy Quinne present a Work In Progress show about the disconnection between what you do all day, and who you feel you really are.

It’s the first full collection of his work (bout time) so expect it to be peppered with such classics as: United Through Unity, Puppy Love Meet Coma & Get Some Perspective you Bell. Come, sit back and have some art installed in your mind. (Starring Sketchfest finalist Lee Hithersay, formerly of the Legion of Doom.)

9pm – John O’Sullivan: Come On My Sofa
It’s been six years since comedian John O’Sullivan’s could be arsed to do any comedy and he’s finally back with his new and slightly naughty comedy chat show with added oddity…
