VHS MUSIC STUDENTS ROCK AURORA MUSIC FESTIVAL
Valdez High School musicians returned from the annual Aurora Music Festival last weekend with great experiences and several honors. The Aurora Music Festival is a gathering of 15 high schools from the Alaska road system and Cordova and Unalaska—all small schools with big hearts for music.

LOCAL RUNNER TO SIGN BLACK HILLS STATE UNIVERSITY CONTRACT
Zoe Langseth will be signing her National Letter of Intent to run Track and Field at Black Hills State University. Black Hills is a NCAA DII School in South Dakota. The brief ceremony will take place at 3:30 today, Monday April 18th, before track practice. The public is invited to join Zoe for this event.

Two experienced skiers and outdoor enthusiasts were rescued after spending four days in a snow cave on Alaska’s Harding Ice Field.

It's that time to look up, look wide, look far as the pilots are coming. The 13th annual Valdez Fly-In and Air Show will be held May 6,7 and 8th
at the Valdez airport. This is a true spectator event with aerobatics, a STOL Competition, Flour Bombing, a Balloon Bust and more. There also will be activities for the kids and vendors galore.
