MEETING TO DISCUSS Proposed Local Commercial Marijuana Regulations this Thursday
Alaskan voters passed a vote to legalize marijuana but there are still a lot of decisions the City of Valdez needs to make regarding the regulation of marijuana. There will be a town hall meeting to review local options for Commercial Marijuana operations this Thursday, February 18th at 6pm in City Council Chambers. A Copy of the draft zoning amendments and additional information can be on the City’s website at www.ci.valdez.ak.us/marijuana. Issues to be determined with regard to Marijuana Regulations include such things as: where the City will allow marijuana consumption; number of marijuana facilities allowed; and hours of operation for marijuana facilities.  See Proposed Local Commercial Marijuana Zoning Regulations HERE.
