KVAK E-NEWS WON'T BE PUBLISHED NEXT WEEK, JANUARY 2ND
Did you know???
KVAK has published our free weekly E-News for seven and a half years without ever taking a week off. (We actually think it's quite a bit longer- but that's how far our archive date back to).
We're not sure why we didn't take a break sooner, but we're giving KVAK's e-news editor extraordinaire Christine Griffin and Laurie Prax a week off from publication. We will not publish this Monday, Dec 2nd.
Watch for your next edition of KVAK'S
E-Newspaper on Monday, Jan. 9th.

"SAFE CONNECTIONS" ACT SIGNED INTO LAW LAST WEEK
Last Wednesday, H.R. 7132, the “Safe Connections Act of 2022,” was signed into law which requires mobile service providers to separate the line of the survivor and any individual in the care of the survivor from a shared mobile service contract with the abuser.
The bill also requires phone providers to omit domestic violence hotline numbers from official phone records so individuals can seek help without fear of the records being seen by their abuser.
