Here's what's happening this month at Gloucester Rd WI.

Everyone can draw!

Roma Widger will be teaching us to draw our own portraits this coming Tuesday.

Everyone can hold a pencil so everyone can draw! Don't worry if you're lacking in confidence, this is why Roma (artist, teacher and DJ) is coming to guide us and offer hints, tips and how tos. You'll leave with your selfie masterpiece – drawn in pencil or charcoal – and a renewed passion for drawing (possibly). It's great fun and a chance to get your hands dirty so it'll be a popular evening as our crafty activities always are.

Please bring a small mirror. Preferably a free standing one but a cosmetic handheld will also be fine. If you forget then you can draw the person sitting opposite!

Remember, we now meet at Boston Tea Party at 293 Gloucester Road, next to Nevil Road. We start at the earlier time of 8pm but you can arrive from 7pm if you wish to get food or drinks beforehand. (Don't go to the one on Cheltenham Road, or St Michael's as we won't be there!)

And finally...

On 22 June we are organising a Bristol to Bath cycle ride just for fun. All members welcome. There is a good chance that we'll stop off for lunch somewhere on the way too.

It's 13 miles of off road cycling and is a lovely, gentle ride following an old railway line so is pretty flat too.

For more information, visit the dedicated website www.bristolbathrailwaypath.org.uk

The plan is to get the train back afterwards but the extra keen amongst you could cycle back!

Sign up at Tuesday's meeting.
