Here's what's happening this month at Gloucester Rd WI.

Beer Tasting with Wiper & True

At June's meeting we will be joined by Bristol brewers Wiper & True.

We will find out about the brewing process, learn about the ingredients they use and delve into the history of Wiper & True.

There will also be two different beers to taste!

In a change to previous tastings, this meeting will be open to visitors (£5 visitor charge applies) if you know of other women who would also like to partake.

Fundraising

Tote-ally GRWI

Look out for Gloucester Road WI tote bags this summer! The perfect thing to pop in your bag and help you ditch plastic bags for good.

Cakes & Bakes at Meetings

We've been enjoying some delicious cakes at meetings so far this year. If you'd like to get baking then please don't forget to sign up to say what you're bringing along, or if you'd rather sample a slice then bring your money along to buy on the night.

Save the Date

Friday 12th October is the date for this year's fundraising quiz. More details to follow but worth putting in your diary in the meantime!

Looking Ahead

Bowling & Pimms

Our summer social this year will be at July's meeting when we shall enjoy some bowling at the club along with a glass of Pimms or two.
Does your other half wonder what we get up to every third Tuesday? Well, unlike the beer tasting, you can bring male or female visitors to this one!
(£5 visitor fee applies)

Grow Off / Bake Off / Make Off

Only a few months to go until this year's grow off / bake off / make off in September. If you've started growing plants then hopefully they have been boosted by May's sunshine. If you're practicing your bakes why not bring them along to one of the summer meetings to add to our cake table?
The categories are as follows:

Grow - Biggest / Three of a Kind / Novelty
Bake - Cupcake / Muffin / Bread
Make - Home Brew / Floral Arrangement in a Teacup / Up-cycled Wearable Accessory

Each person can have three entries in total for the chance to win themselves a Gloucester Road WI rosette!
