Here's what's happening this month at Gloucester Rd WI.

Bouquets and Blooms

This month is a floristry demonstration from Cherril McCartney from Stoke Lodge, Adult Education Centre

We will be holding a raffle during the night (50p/ticket) where you could win the floral displays made during the demonstrations with all proceeds going to our nominated charity this year, Mothers for Mothers.

Bit of a change around for this meeting, we will start promptly at 8pm with the speaker first and then deal with all our WI business afterwards.

Venue: Bristol St Andrew's Bowling Club – entrance through the fence on Derby Road, just past Happy Lane.

You can also get a drink and have a mingle before and after the meeting as the bar will be open all evening.

Last Month's Meeting

Zara's Chocolates

A new feature of the monthly update, a review of the previous meeting with a brief overview and any follow-up information.

Zara gave us a delicious insight into the world of the chocolatier while skilfully delivering an interesting and highly informative talk on the history of all things chocolate. And we got to try the chocolate!

This is a fun active travel project that will create 5 ‘pocket plazas’ that illustrate the 5 green capital themes. Installations will link up green projects in the area creatively and will challenge participants to find miniature installation ‘green treasures’.
