We humbly request your presence at the official launch of the VIFAA Nigeria Dashboard on the 23rd June 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm. Due to social distancing guidelines, the launch will be held virtually through this link.
Visualizing Insights on Fertilizer for African Agriculture (VIFAA) is a fertilizer data-for-decision-making initiative supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Development Gateway (DG), in partnership with AfricaFertilizer.org (AFO) – jointly implemented by the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) and the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) – are working together during the four-year program to holistically address the supply, demand, and use of fertilizer data in Nigeria and regionally across Africa.
During the implementation of the VIFAA program, we have collaborated with the private sector, government agencies, research institutions, and other development partners to address the key data – and data supply – gaps to fill in supporting strategic decision-making in Nigeria’s fertilizer sector. The launch of the dashboard marks two years of engagement to make fertilizer data in Nigeria easier to centralize, access, and use.
As a key stakeholder in Nigeria’s fertilizer sector, you have been instrumental in the process of co-designing the dashboard. During the launch, we will demo the full dashboard, including the latest graphics that include satellite imagery of cropland under production, as well as cost chain build-up information. In addition, we will discuss next steps for further user engagement, including the announcement of new initiatives with government agencies and key partners in the private sector.
Please contact Samuel Ali at firstname.lastname@example.org / +234 (70) 36043838 if you have any questions.
We look forward to your support and participation.
