Hello from Honduras! This month the bible school students completed their second course and implemented their first ministry outreach. Nothing has ever been more rewarding or fulfilling in ministry than to watch our Bible school students loving and ministering to their people. We are truly working ourselves out of a job! The students were able to minister to a group of youth from a local neighborhood here in San Pedro Sula that is famous for gangs, crime, and poverty. The Bible school students brought hope, love and joy to them through the outreach and so many good seeds were planted!
One of our School of Ministry students is Samuel. Samuel’s family was abandoned by his father when he was a little boy. He and his brothers would beg for food and water on the streets because things got so hard at home. He was rejected by his community and seen as worthless in the eyes of society. Samuel and one of his brothers were brought to House of Mercy (the boy’s home where we have helped with Aquaponics and discipleship) where they would have a safe place to sleep, eat and grow physically and spiritually. Samuel was blessed to receive private education for free and because he excelled in his grades and character, was chosen by his school to take a 3 week trip to Germany. His missing father was miraculously found to sign documents that would allow him to go to Germany. When his father saw the handsome young man Samuel was and realized he was going to Europe he was filled with conviction and asked Samuel for forgiveness. When Samuel came back from Germany his community who had rejected him could not believe it and wanted to know all about it. Samuel forgave his father, forgave his community and is passionate about Jesus. Samuel loves God with all his heart and has a strong calling on his life for the Lord. We are so blessed to have him in the Bible school!
Samuel shared his testimony at the outreach and it was beautiful! It was so amazing to see a young man who had been abandoned by his father, rejected by his community and raised in an orphanage, leading and encouraging other youth to trust God and give their lives to him regardless of their circumstances. He is a testimony of God’s favor, grace and power! His willingness to forgive and his love for Jesus challenges Jesse and I to walk in the same grace and mercy.
Prayer Requests

Please pray that the bible school students would be filled with revelation as they sit in class and that God would continue to transform their lives and build them into passionate leaders.

Please join us and cover our marriage in prayer. Please be praying for us as we make new goals and learn how to be more balanced with ministry and family.

Please pray that God would continue to meet our financial needs and that our trust in him would not waver.

Please cover our GTN team here in Honduras. We have been experiencing some attacks from the enemy in forms of pestilence and destruction. We have missionary children suffering from seizures, infected bug bites, rashes and lice. There was a tick infestation and there have been car accidents and robberies. Fighting with things like this on top of the daily stresses of living in another country can be detrimental to the heart! The warfare is real, please cover our team in prayer.

Thank You!

Thank you for believing in our family and for your faithfulness to give. You are raising up Honduran bible school students to change their nation and the world for Jesus. You are bringing hope and love to children and youth who are living in difficult and dangerous situations. You are raising up new missionary families.

Thank you for being a life changer!

With grateful and humble hearts,
                             Jesse, Sara and Makai
