Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Happy Holidays! I hope you and your loved ones enjoy a happy & healthy Holiday Season and New Year together. I’ve enjoyed seeing so many of you at the holiday celebrations around the district this December. During these celebrations and throughout the year, I always feel so fortunate to represent such a great community of people and a beautiful part of Boston in the 8th Suffolk District.

2022 was a great year for the Commonwealth as we continued to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and gathered at in-person events for the first time in two years. On top of that, we had a historic election this November where we elected our first female Governor-Elect, Maura Healey, and one the first two women tickets in the Nation with Lieutenant Governor-Elect Kim Driscoll. I look forward to working with the Healey Administration in the coming years, along with other strong Democrats that were elected up and down the ballot in Massachusetts.

We’ve also had a lot of significant accomplishments in the legislature and my office through the passage of important bills that address the social safety net, housing issues, climate change, gun laws, reproductive rights, mental health, and more.

There is always more to do. In the new year, I will file a new slate of bills for the 193rd legislative session. My staff and I have been hard at work reviewing issues important to our constituents and people of the Commonwealth, but if there’s something particularly important to you, please don’t hesitate to reach out and I would be happy to discuss.

These pictures are from various holiday events around the district, including the Commonwealth Ave. Mall Tree Lighting, the Copley Place Menorah Lighting, and the Ward 5 Holiday Party.

Lastly, the Biden Administration has begun administering free COVID-19 tests as part of their Winter Preparedness Plan. Make sure you secure yours by clicking here, and schedule your COVID-19 Booster if you haven’t already received one.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. You can reach me at Jay.Livingstone@mahouse.gov, and my staff Cassidy and Audrey at Cassidy.Trabilcy@mahouse.gov and Audrey.Herrmann@mahouse.gov

Thank you again for another great year! It is my honor to serve as your State Representative. On behalf of myself and my team, we are wishing you and your loved ones a Happy Holiday Season and a joyful New Year!

Warmest Wishes,

Jay D. Livingstone
