"Faithraising" Trip

Faith comes from God

I planned this fundraising trip because our financial situation was deteriorating. But my testimony has been that God provides for everything required for His work, so I've tried to stop worrying. It's ironic that I don't have to worry when I'm focused on obeying God; but it's even more ironic when I imagine myself doing God's work and worrying about "my" funds. This trip has been a good reflection of my faith, and I thank the many churches and donors who have been a part of our ministry in and around Thailand.

Santisuk Center Silom (SCS) has been a great partner and supporter for our (OLC) English Bible studies. They rely on volunteer short-term missionaries to teach and minister to their students, and are in an urgent situation right now, seeking volunteer teachers from as early as May 18:

"Santisuk English Center-Silom is looking for people to serve alongside us to reach the Thai people with the good news of Jesus Christ. We are located in the heart of downtown Bangkok and seek to reach a diverse population of Thai people who live, work, and study here.

Your primary responsibilities are to build relationships of love with Thai people, and help a Thai church multiply through teaching conversational English. Our teachers are the key link that God uses to connect Thai people with him. Many teachers who have taught with us over our team's 25 years of ministry report having a fantastic, impactful, and extremely fun ministry experience!

Pictured above is Timothy filling out his first job application. One of our family goals for this trip was to get Timothy a summer job in MD. He'll be staying with a member of Christ Covenant Church (Rev Kenny). Lydia also plans to work; she will probably stay with my uncle closer to her school. I will leave at the end of May, but Sarah will stay in California for a while; please let me know or contact her directly if you'd like to meet her. Also let me know if you wanna help an MK out. We're all in MD at this time.
