This is the weekly update about what is happening with the Antioch Movement.
The Antioch Movement
We last wrote at the end of June just as we were entering into the crazy season for our family. Libby was running hard toward her dance nationals. Ethan was in the midst of his travel baseball season. Amy and I were about to take a month long break from hosting missional community in July.

As the summer progressed much has changed and very little has changed all at the same time. First, many of you remember that Amy's job at the EPC has come to an end. We were praying for God to make clear what it was that he had next for her. Amy interviewed for a couple of different opportunities but nothing was really a fit. Then Cornerstone EPC reached out and asked her to consider a position. She took it and has started as an administrative assistant in missions.

During that same time we began praying about bi-vocational opportunities for me. There was a lot of thinking and praying. Then one day, out of the blue, Cornerstone EPC called me. They asked me to consider joining their pastoral staff part time to lead the ministry to millenials. God had orchestrated this amazing opportunity to use my gifts and also be bi-vocational by being a pastor.

As August starts up, Amy and I are both now working for Cornerstone EPC in Brighton, MI. We are excited to be serving on the same church staff exercising our gifts. We are also ecstatic that my new role will not hinder the Antioch Movement in any way. The two schedules match up perfectly. We are hopeful that this will be a missional partnership that helps the kingdom grow in Brighton and Ypsilanti. Would you pray towards those ends?

Yet, nothing has changed. We are still giving all we have to the work in Ypsilanti. We are hopeful for missional community to multiply soon. We are looking forward to seeing new huddles start up. The Antioch Movement continues to grow steadily. God is faithful!
