Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network - Update

Kairos Palestine advent resources

Another Christmas is approaching, and injustice in the land of peace remains rampant.
So says Rifat Kasis in the introduction to the Kairos Palestine Christmas Alert - 62 pages of information and resources for churches wanting to connect the historical as well as historic stories of Bethlehem in this advent period.  Download resource (PDF).

Arda is home safe and sound!

Arda is now safely home after her massive 29 day tour in Australia.  She spoke directly to over 3,500 people and reached hundreds of thousands through 20 media interviews.   We were able to distribute over 2,000 copies of Kairos Palestine at public events, Christian festivals and church synods (she spoke at three!).  Thanks all for your generous words and support for her time.

If you didn't catch Arda, or would like to hear more - listen to

Australians serving with EAPPI

The Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) is a program of the World Council of Churches and in the last decade has brought 1,500 people to be present in vulnerable communities in the West Bank of Palestine.

Craig Neilson is an Australian currently serving in Jayyus-Tulkarm team, and in January we're hoping that Rev Joan Fisher and Liam Grant will also serve.  We invite you to read stories of EA's at the EAPPI blog or watch Eyewitness, a powerful 13minute film made by a former EA.

Liam Grant is seeking support for the costs of his placement and we invite you to consider donating to help him get there!

Forbidden Pilgrimage: 50 minute documentary by Palestinian filmmaker, as shown on Al Jazeera English.
