Archbishop Desmond Tutu has joined Friends of Sabeel in North America, Palestinian church leaders and 200 religious leaders in writing to the Pope - voicing concerns about the treatment of Palestinian children by the Israeli military but also the effects of the occupation more broadly. Six Palestinians killed last week by Israel – Islamic Jihad respond with rockets.

Gaza man creates art from Israeli ammunition
A Gazan youth used spent shells to create handicrafts to disprove stereotypes about Palestinians. He found the shells from the remains of missiles and ammunition from Israel bombardment during military offensives. His work has now been converted into an exhibition of art from the ruins of war.
UN Special Rapporteur analyzes “apartheid” practices by Israel
Richard Falk, UN special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, said that Palestinian rights are being violated by Israel's prolonged occupation of Palestinian territory and "ethnic cleansing" of East Jerusalem. UN member states should consider imposing a ban on imports of produce from Jewish settlements in the West Bank. Read more
Internationals join Palestinian farmers in Olive Planting
Under the call to “Keep Hope Alive”, internationals from 12 countries joined the collaborative Joint Advocacy Initiative and Alternative Tourism Group Olive Planting Program in February 2014, where nearly 2000 olive saplings were planted. Read more
Belgian organizations protest settlements goods
Twenty Belgian human rights organizations have launched a campaign to boycott the sale of goods from Israeli settlements in Belgium, demanding that the European Union take concrete action to put an end to the occupation.
