INDY ELEVEN, INDIANA SOCCER & INDIANA SOCCER  FOUNDATION TO UNVEIL “FUTSAL FOR INDIANA” COMMUNITY INITIATIVE THIS AFTERNOON
Project’s Grand Opening at Indianapolis’ Rhodius Park to Take Place at 2:00 p.m.
 
INDIANAPOLIS (Friday, May 15, 2015) – Indy Eleven Professional Soccer is excited to join with several community partners for today’s unveiling of the “Futsal for Indiana” community initiative, which will introduce the sport of futsal to underserved Hoosiers while updating underused park spaces across the State of Indiana.
 
Officials from Indy Eleven, Indiana Soccer, the Indiana Soccer Foundation and the City of Indianapolis will gather this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. ET for the Futsal for Indiana grand opening event, taking place at Rhodius Park, located at 1001 S. Belmont Avenue on Indianapolis’ near west side. 
 
Limited street parking will be available near the park’s futsal/tennis courts on Wyoming Street, while additional lot parking is available off of Belmont Avenue.
 
In addition, representatives will be on hand from Indy Parks, SCORE, William Penn Elementary School (IPS School 49), Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Big Car Collaborative and the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center, all of which will play a role in programming and/or maintaining the new beautified park space.  Indy Eleven defender Judson McKinney and Indiana Pacers forward – and soccer fan – Solomon Hill will also join the festivities at Rhodius Park.
