Editor’s Message

Greetings Technoids!
August - the month of independence, starts with a positive attitude, inventiveness, resourcefulness, and innovation. It gives me immense pleasure to bring this initial edition of the newsletter of vDoIT. The foundation stone of vDOIT was laid in 2015. Since then, this nourishing tree has spread far and wide. Information technology has been a driving force for product, service, and process innovation, so the purpose of this newsletter is to provide information about the latest updates of the IT sector, our products or services, and our achievements. Hope everyone has a fabulous July, and look forward to talking to you again in our August issue.

Sports and technology have been collaborating for a long time. Technology has always aided sports, whether in decision-making, sport management, or the improvement of the sport. Whether it's Hockey, Cricket, Volleyball, or any other popular sport, technology is becoming increasingly involved. A next-generation sports industry cannot be completed by evolving the technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Data Science, Solutions on AWS, external APIs integration Etc. vDoIT has globally delivered multiple sports projects which include Sport ERP, Tournament/League Management Web/Mobile apps, Fantasy Sports apps, Multi Sports Scoring Apps, Sport Tourism Apps. With a dedicated team of experts at vDoIT, we will assist our clients in every manner we can. We not only customize the platform as per requirements, but we also offer strategy and guidance on how to make it perform best for you.
In this section, we publish an interview of one of our employees and in this issue, we have some words with our senior technical lead Mr. Sidharth Gupta, who is working with us for the last 7 months.
1. In your opinion, what are the principles of good software engineering? What are some basic principles everyone should follow?
Some basic principles of good software engineering are a solution-oriented approach, having backup plans for solutions, develop and maintain coding practices such as clean code and comments, having knowledge of git, and basic deployment of code. Among many principles one should follow, some of the basics are to write code that is easily understandable and is not unnecessarily complicated just to prove a person’s higher technical skill understanding as software is never maintained and developed by a single person.
2. What’s the most memorable project you worked on? Any special memory related to that project do you want to share with us?
The most memorable project I worked on was a warehouse management system which I had seen develop and grow from an infant stage to almost a full-fledged system as per most of the client's needs. I was fortunate enough to develop some of its defining features with my teammates which are the backbone of that system now. I remember we said that for it to become an industry-standard it needs to go through some changes which will require a tech stack update as the current one was not well equipped, but defying the odds our team delivered it, which was a great morale booster for the team and proved that with a bit of hard work, R&D and experience anything is possible.
3. If you were to review another team member’s code, what’s the most important thing you’d check for?
The approach they took to tackle the problem, coding style, ease of understanding the code without their intervention, possibly a better and more efficient way, if possible, will be suggested by me during the review process. Also, to try and make them understand why/if any changes are required so that in the future, they do it before they even start coding and improve on their own.
4. What’s your favorite part about working in VDoIT?
The work culture is extremely friendly, flexibility in hours when needed is given, also there is utmost respect and extremely thankful to our CEO – Mr. Narinder Kamra and CTO – Ms. Neetu Gupta for providing a very comfortable and nurturing environment for growth in the company and in developing your work skills. They look after each of the organization members as one looks after their family.
5. What are your new learning in the past 3 months?
In the past 3 months, I have learned a totally new domain - networking and its diagnostics on a B2B level in an ongoing project where a lot of the manual work will be converted to a one-click solution, and for the solution to work you need deep knowledge of how a network is a setup. I learned patience in training new trainees for the company and to be the senior which I needed when I was starting my career. Delivery of time-sensitive features is important as you have to develop code on time that completes the job, rather than have a beautiful code with all the documentation and delivering it late.

Congratulations to Yadvinder (Coordinator) & Minaxi (Editor) and rest of the vDoIT Team members for restarting the monthly Newsletter from Aug 2021 onwards. There is certainly a pressing need to let our connections know about the business value being delivered by vDoIT. We are committed to give the most delightful experience in our Services to the World.
We all know that IT Services Market is estimated to register a CAGR of about 10.36 % during the forecast period 2021-2026. With the onset of COVID-19, the vulnerability of supply chains has been exposed. For most IT organizations, fragile ecosystems included providers of critical IT services. However, there are few exceptional IT companies that are excelling in these tough times as well and vDoIT is one of them.
Thank you to our customers, partners, and employees for consistent trust in vDoIT. Let’s stay connected
