INTERVIEW OF THE MONTH
1. Which Project Management Software do you prefer?
The first preference is the software with which the client is comfortable. Otherwise, I generally prefer Jira and sometimes Trello.
2. How do you prioritize tasks on a Project?
It starts with making a simple list of tasks. Then arrange them in the natural order of development. Then if a task needs to be prioritized first, the dependencies for that particular task are noted, as a task cannot be prioritized against another task that the first task is dependent on.
3. What's your preferred Project Management Methodology?
That depends on the project requirement. I generally go with Scrum methodology and sometimes, if required, Adaptive project framework methodology.
4. How do you work with Sponsors and Stakeholders?
Before creating a project plan, interactions with Sponsors and Stakeholders are done which includes requirement gathering sessions, resource and timeline planning, etc. As the project proceeds, every Sponsor & Stakeholder requires different kinds of attention.
5. How do you manage a Remote Team?
A remote team requires the constant availability of all the stakeholders whenever required. The meetings have to be kept short and precise but frequent. Individual interactions are a must in managing the remote teams to assess individual issues. Certain activities are planned to keep the spirits high.
6. What's your ideal project?
Every project comes with its own challenges. According to me, a project can be defined as ideal when all the stakeholders, sponsors, and resources are passionate and enthusiastic to work for the project. Then every challenge, big or small, can be worked out and the project runs smoothly.
