Cardmaking A-Z

I'll be teaching a class for a teen summer camp program at the Artist Workshop in New Smyrna Beach.  It's about four hours in duration and was quite the challenge to put a class together where they learn basic cardmaking techniques.  It was also interesting for me to take roughly 25 years of cardmaking and break it down into a class format without getting me (and the kids) too overwhelmed!

I thought it would be fun to show you a few of my cardmaking exercises they will be learning.  There are a lot more techniques, but here's just a few that you might enjoy too!

First one up is a card made with washi tape using the rule of 3's and thirds.  The flower and leaves are hand cut.

Here we have a focal on the diagonal with 3 stars layered and white space for stamping.
I think the kids will get a kick out of making a pop-up card!
I'll provide diecut flowers and they can cut the leaves.

Hand Built Mug Class

Our last mug class finished designs!  I love taking friends to this class especially for their first time!  This was my fourth class.

Have a pleasant week!

XOXO
