Awesome, right?  Take time to watch your sunset!!!

Another Challenge Site!

I discovered a new site, Watercooler Wednesdays, and quickly created a card.  What I realized is I read this site as Watercolor Wednesdays and created a watercolor card and posted it under my watercolor tab.  Fortunately, I discovered my error and tweaked my blog post taking out any references to "watercolor."  What a goofous I am sometimes!  Even funnier, I went to my challenge site list and I have this site listed as Watercolor Wednesday!!!!  What a trick of the eyes.  I've fixed my list to reflect the correct name.  In case you're curious about my vast challenge list, or it's raining and you need something creative to do, here's the LINK.

Anyway, here's my pretty little card that is all set for a wedding I'll be attending in August.  Click on the photo for the blog post.

Freshly Made Sketches

Apparently, I'm a sucker for challenges lately and look forward to the week's sketch.  Pretty sure I can't keep up this pace back in NY.

Just Playing for No Reason

I had a bunch of stamped and diecut leftovers that needed to be made into cards.  Here are some of the results of my little pieces!
I combined FSJ and Sizzix images and dies for this card from scraps of previous watercolor papers.  Flamingo, palm tree and palm fronds colored with Tombows.  Sentiment from Mini Crazy Birds (TH) stamped in just the right place!

Florida Dragonflies!

I've noticed just this last week how huge Florida dragonflies are!  This must be their season as I'm seeing them flying everywhere.  My card was a result of all the dryer sheet diecuts I made and then colored with smooshed Distress Oxide inks.  The dragonfly is actually double layered for some added dimension.  I'm really happy with this card.  Sentiment is from Alt&New.

My friend, Jane, sent me a beautifully created card recently in her favorite stamp company style, Penny Black.  She even added doodles around the flower and center!  Good old A Muse Studio's dotted cardstock for the card base.  Love it!

Next week, I hope to paint in watercolor other than cards.  Wish me luck!

Have a pleasant week!

xoxo
