Pink Angel Trumpet Flowers

As I try to grow in my watercolor painting, I'm attracted to taking pictures of things that I might want to paint.  On a recent trip to Florida, my mother inlaw's neighbor had this amazing flowering bush.  I just had to try and paint these beautiful flowers.

It just so happened my copy of THE MAGNOLIA JOURNAL was sitting on the counter.  On the cover JoAnna Gaines is holding a gigantic basket of fresh flowers that perfectly matched my little painting!  So, off I went to Hobby Lobby to get a perfectly matching mat and frame!  Framing makes all the difference!!!

Before leaving for Florida, I sketched a couple of ideas that were swirling around in my head. Last December, I posted a 12x12 painting of a snowman that I hung in my garage as a seasonal piece.  Well, he's still there but it's time to change to spring!  Went to Hobby Lobby and purchased a 12x12 Gesso Board and with my coupon, it was $5!!!  I hope to show the finished piece next week!
The pencil sketched photo doesn't show well, but you get the idea.  I call this GARAGE ART!
I love flowers and especially whimsical flowers!  Recently I saw a pinner who painted pillows with the GeliPlate that blew me away!  So, that's my WHAT'S NEXT project...painting pillows.  Scroll down...

Shoebox Kit Sign Ups for March:  Ellie, Kathy, Lyn

Bring 1 card kit to swap

Shoebox cards are a fantastic opportunity to use your stash (believe me, you won't even miss your stuff!).  Just create one CAS card sample and put together 8 kits in  a "shoebox."  You do not have to commit to making a kit as we'll always have at least 3 people signed up to make kits, but the more cards we make, the merrier we'll be!

I think this is my third or fourth What's Next? This is definitely my next new project!!!  Click on the photo for the tutorial, it's excellent.
Geliarts fabric pillow!  Gorgeous!!!

Short and sweet this week!!!

Have a pleasant week!
