Card Concept #67 - Vintage!

This week's Card Concept challenge is to create a vintage style card.  Well, imagine my delight!!!  Click on the card for the blog post and details.  Gosh it feels good to get all shabby!!!

Fun Stampers Journey Fun!

I love this Amazing Day stamp set as found in the Mini Trends catalog because I see many months of use.  Click on the photo for the blog post.
I used the partial embossing trick on the left side of this card that I reviewed in last week's e-news.

Paint Party Friday - Week #49

I almost forgot about this cool site that encourages painting and posting our work.  All kinds of people post their work and it's a great way to practice painting regularly.  I ended up painting two 5x7 cards last Thursday and had a ball.
Click on each card for the blog post links.

Sherry's Shoebox CAS Club

The next meeting of Sherry's CAS Club at the Bridgeport Library is February 22nd at 3:30.

The challenge of February's SHOEBOX card kit is as follows:

Make it Green
Make it Masculine
Use Ribbon in a creative way

Shoebox cards are a fantastic opportunity to use your stash (believe me, you won't even miss your stuff!).  Just create one CAS card sample and put together 8 kits in  a "shoebox."  You do not have to commit to making a kit as we'll always have at least 3 people signed up to make kits, but the more cards we make, the merrier we'll be!

Here's a card I cased from a Pinterest pin to fit our challenge.  You can click on the card for the link that inspired me.

Art Exchange Mixed Media Group

February 26th - 2-4 pm
Solvay Library
Fee:  $10

Please RSVP by Sunday,  Feb. 19th so we know how many to plan for.

Here's another sneak of the Rolodex project using the GeliArts Plate!  We'll play around with several diecut Rolodex cards that you will finish at home.  Warning, this activity is very addicting!!!!

We'll create random layers of paint (there's no over thinking this process!!!) and when dry, we'll add stamped images, layered cutout shapes, stapled pieces, etc.
This card is actually from the paper used to clean off the brayer in between paint applications!  I think it's my favorite so far.  Nothing goes to waste!!!

Have a pleasant week!
