Valentine Love!

I was inspired by the FSJ Bread Tag as the start of this card.  My upline, Chelsea, sent me the nifty Summer Branch diecut, so I added that to the card.  Creating this card felt like a walk back in time for me with adding lots of layers and 'stuff.'  It was totally fun to dig in drawers and pull out so many items to add to this card!  I had no particular company or product in mind to use, just grab and go!  Papers are from Authentique Crush.

The next meeting of Sherry's CAS Club at the Bridgeport Library is February 22nd at 3:30.  The challenge of February's SHOEBOX card kits is as follows:

Make it Green
Make it Masculine
Use Ribbon in a creative way

Shoebox cards are a fantastic opportunity to use your stash (believe me, you won't even miss your stuff!).  Just create one CAS card sample and put together 8 kits in  a "shoebox."  You do not have to commit to making a kit as we'll always have at least 3 people signed up to make kits, but the more cards we make, the merrier we'll be!

Here's a sample of my interpretation of this month's theme:
This FSJ My World and Hit the Road stamp sets are really growing on me so I made another card design with basically the same layout.

I love adding a little something to an envelope and this week, I grabbed I Heart Embossing Folder and Love Stripes Embossing Folder from the Bloom This Way Mini Catalog.  I placed a small section of the envie inside the folder to create a sweet little border!!!  I love how the positive image shows on the addressed side and the negative shows on the flap side!  So dig out your folders ladies and add that quick little extra touch to your envies.
Simply place a section of the envie inside the embossing folder and give it a crank!  That's it!!!  There's still plenty of room for the address and a return label on the flap!  Your recipient will love it.

If you're looking for other card making clubs, Ann Wilburn has started a group at the Baldwinsville Library.  Her next meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 15th from 1-3pm.  Make 5 cards for $10.  Bring adhesive (tape runner, double sided tape or glue stick).  There is a class limit of 5 people, so email Ann if you're attending:

February 26th - 2-4 pm
Solvay Library
Fee:  $10

Please RSVP by Sunday,  Feb. 19th so we know how many to plan for.

Here's another sneak of the Rolodex project using the GeliArts Plate!  We'll play around with several diecut Rolodex cards that you will finish at home.

Look at all those luscious layers of paint!

Brayer (if you're not sure what a brayer is, go to Amazon and search "brayer".  I use a 4" size.)  This tool is essential to working with Geli Plates!  Also, if you already own a Geli Plate, please bring it.
Pencil & Eraser for sketching (I just use a retractable Bic)
1-2 Favorite watercolor brushes (#4, #6) - I will have extras
Fine tip Black Pigma Pen (05), Copic Multi Liner or Micron Pen
Items will be added as the list finalize
Apron or painting shirt.
Baby Wipes (we will get messy!)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
