THE REAL PAPER PETUNIA!
Did you know there was an actual Paper Petunia paper doll?  Yep!  Back in 2010 and during my days with Paper Craft Planet, I modeled her after the Flat Stanley concept (with a little help from Accucut).  She traveled all over the world through fellow paper crafters who signed up to receive her.  They gave her a new look, took pictures of her visit, and then got her mailed on to the next person.  She lives in Scotland now with a woman who had grandchildren and were the perfect age to enjoy Paper Petunia!
I'm taking a walk down memory lane because I have worn many, many paper crafting hats over 20 years and yet I'm still on the paper crafting journey!!!!  Whether I'm involved in Stamp Nation's challenges and swaps, or whether I've become a Journey Coach for Fun Stampers Journey, or whether I'm totally involved in watercolor, or whether I'm teaching through a club setting, or writing the e-news or posting in my blog, it's all part of my paper crafting life.
I'm here today because many, many people over the years have shared their knowledge, talents and creativeness in one way or another with me.  I am grateful my path has been amazingly fulfilling and that I am able to share so many experiences with you.

PAPER ARTS CLUB

Holiday Meeting!
November 30, 2016

Our holiday meeting has 3 unique components:

Swap:  Make 15 Gift Card Holders
We talked about whether to make tags or something else and we decided to make Gift Card Holders instead!

Bring a handcrafted gift bag:   Fill the bag (store bought or made from scratch.  It doesn't have to be a bag!  It could be a tin, a cool box, something re-puposed, etc.)  Place a minimum $5 worth of paper crafting supplies inside that you yourself would like to own!  Split up packages of new items, cut up cool papers, ribbon, new/gently used stamps, etc.  Show us how creative you are!!!!

Bring a food munchy or dessert.  This is optional and we always have a generous turnout of food!  The Library just asks that we don't bring any hot food in crock pots, etc.

No Everson and No SOTM

Here's one final gift card idea from Pinterest by Carissa Wiley:

STAMP NATION FREE CARD TUTORIALS!

No kidding!  Six card tutorials linked to Catherine's photo (below).  We will be creating one of them at our Paper Arts Club meeting that is posted on my blog.  Just follow the link!

WEDNESDAY CAS CLUB WITH SHERRY!
Really excited to show you two of the cards that we created at Sherry's CAS club last Wednesday!
We never seem to have a sympathy card on hand and this card really appealed to all of us.  Sherry's card was a portrait orientation but I accidentally dropped the sentiment stamp on my card front!  I flipped the cardstock over and decided to use a landscape orientation.  Stamp is Penny Black and the scratch background is Stampers Anonymous.  We colored direct to rubber with Tombows.  There's no wrong way to make this card!!!

Gayla generously shared a SU card she's created.  We loved her gorgeous design!

WRAP UP WITH WATERCOLOR!

Finally took time to watercolor Thursday afternoon.  As a beginner, I rely heavily on videos and one of my favorite artists is Peter Sheeler.  Click on my painting for his YouTube link.  Off to Hobby Lobby!

Happy Thanksgiving!

xoxo
