Hello friends and fans and Happy New Year! As we turn our attention towards 2018, a year that I hope will be filled with positivity, love, and compassion, Catharsis continues to bring our message of positive social change through music across America. We have some very exciting performances coming up including one at the Jazz Educators Network (JEN) conference tomorrow, Jan. 6th, in Dallas followed by an appearance at one of the world's great jazz festivals: New York City's Winter Jazz Fest on Friday, Jan. 12th (details above and below).  We'll follow that with a tour of the Midwest including performances in Evansville, IN; Bloomington, IN (my birthplace!); St. Louis, MO; Kansas City, MO; and Stevens Point, WI (one town over from my parents' birthplace, Wausau!). Full schedule here.

Then, early next month, my new project, Reverso, co-led with Frank Woeste will be releasing our debut record featuring Jeff Ballard on drums called Suite Ravel. Original music inspired by Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin We'll be touring the Northeast in support of the album with shows in Pittsburgh (City of Asylum on Feb. 4), Philadelphia (Chris's Jazz Cafe on Feb. 5), and NYC (Jazz Gallery on Feb. 7th). More details to come on this project later.

See you out there and stay engaged! Now's the time to stand up for what we all know is right (and wrong).
