I trust the start of Autumn has been wonderful for you. We had a really great month and I wanted to share some great news!
On October 16th 2013, the CFDA Inaugural Jewelry Showcase took place at CFDA headquarters in NYC. A year ago I approached my dear friend and colleauge Talya Cousins jewelry consultant and former Senior Editor of W Magazine and Women's Wear Daily WWD with the idea of generating more support and exposure for fellow jewelry designers. Here I share Talya's statement.
“Knowing my editorial background, passion for design and jewelry expertise Simon approached me last year with the mission of joining forces to give support to independent jewelry designers working today. Together we are collaborating on various projects that will bring jewelry to the forefront and celebrate the diversity and richness of the craft in the US today.
This showcase is the first step and we're thrilled to work with the CFDA to promote and celebrate their growing group of jewelry designers who are members.â€

We appreciate so much the support and efforts of the team at the CFDA and a big thank you to PR maven Blair Brindley who did an incredible job, no surprise as her great reputation precedes her.
Once again to my dear friend Talya, thank you for trusting and believing that we could accomplish this first project, so many will benefit from this first ever CFDA Jewelry Showcase. By all accounts the event was a great success.
Please follow the logo links to read the different articles, view the galleries and learn more about all the talented CFDA Jewelry Designers that pariticipated. Through out the process of getting this off the ground I kept repeating to my self this beautiful quote from Ryonsuke Satoro:
"Individually we are one drop, together we are an ocean."
I also wanted to share with you two great interviews and a beautiful write up on Creative Collective Collab. Follow those image links to read more.
As I write this letter I am finishing up my yearly trunk show tour in Japan. I will share more on that the next time.
Many blessings to you and please share our story if you feel inspired to do so.
