The Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival has honored The Investigator with inclusion to Worldfest 2013!  The third oldest film festival in the country, Worldfest anticipates up to 30,000 people in attendance next month. The festival has also nominated us for a Remi Award!  Past winners include Steven Spielberg and Ang Lee.  Not a bad start for The Investigator team!

Testimony of the film’s powerful message:
“This gripping tale is one of redemption and finding God’s grace in the most unlikely of places.  As a ministry that promotes films that promote a culture of life and love we could not be more thrilled!”
- Jason Jones, Movie to Movement
“Great story, great action, great soundtrack!  You’ll love this family friendly look at claims of history’s most famous figure, Jesus Christ.”
- Art Dykstra, Associate Pastor, Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg
“The message is relevant for our culture today and the HOPE that springs from the story not only warms the heart; but also points to the only One who can change our hearts forever.”- Sue Potteiger and the administration & Staff of Bell Shoals Baptist Academy

Currently we are available for speaking engagements in the Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota, and St. Petersburg areas!  For these engagements, key cast or crew will come to your church or organized event to speak about the upcoming film, show sneak peak clips from the film, and share their testimonials.  Requests may be made through our website Sign-Up page as well.

The Investigator Team would like to congratulate David Sanborn for his inspirational production of Judah Ben-Hur, an original musical about the life of Judah composed by he and his mother, Ellen. David, who plays the role of Paul in The Investigator, is currently in the Philippines with the “Youth With A Mission” (YWAM) for the month of March. Stay tuned for an interview with this man of many talents upon his return!

Director Curtis Graham
Growing up as a kid I always enjoyed reading biographies over novels. I was always fascinated with learning what makes people who they are. That's probably why I am attracted to films based on true stories. The truth is always stranger than fiction. With that said, The Investigator was a story I could really get into.
You may or may not know that all films have a "moral premise". The human condition has always been the conflict between "Good & Evil"--a moral dilemma. Good stories, good films know how to tap that conflict. They are able to allow the audience to identify with the characters, struggles and challenges and how they overcame the odds. It is a very Spiritual thing! That is why I always question the term "faith based". All films are faith based. To have a hero pray to God or Jesus makes it a "faith based film"? Is Life of Pi not a faith based film? Is Lincoln not a "faith based film"? Is Flight? All show how an individual struggles spiritually with a moral dilemma.  Yet they are not considered "faith based".  The Investigator is a film that fits the same mold as these. I love this story because it taps all of our own doubts and frustrations. Doubts of faith, questions about our own circumstances in life!  Why God? Why me? Are you really there? We all ask the same universal questions. My job as Director is to allow the audience to feel what that character is going through; to put the audience in the character’s place. From there we can realize that we share some of the same struggles in life. We leave the theater knowing we are not alone in our feelings. It is always encouraging to know how an individual overcame the odds against them. We leave the film satisfied in the spiritual journey we shared with the character!
Many of the classic great films of the past if they were released today would be classified as "faith based". Odd isn't it?
