SCRIPTURE Genesis 2:18-25
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.” 19 So out of the ground the Lord God formed every animal of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper as his partner. 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then he took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. 23 Then the man said,
“This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
this one shall be called Woman,
for out of Man this one was taken.”
24 Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh. 25 And the man and his wife were both naked, and were not ashamed.

Description: For this year's mission trip, we are heading to Hobart Indiana. Once there we will be staying at Augastana Lutheran Church and will be serving multiple sites In and around Hobart as well as the possibility of serving on the south side of Chicago at a soup kitchen.
Hope will also be partnering with two other churches, Augastana LC (IN) and St. Lukes LC (Milwaukee). Both of these churches were at Hope last year.
A mission trip is an opportunity to serve others as Jesus has taught us to. We will be leaving Sunday afternoon, July 7th right after the 11:00am service and we will be returning early afternoon Friday, July 12th.
Age Group: This trip is for incoming freshman (those finishing 8th grade) through graduating Seniors.
Adult Leaders: If you're interested in attending as an adult leader, please contact Donnie.
Cost: Youth $150, Adult Leaders $0
The cost includes everything needed for the week EXCEPT money for food on the drive there and back AND spending money. This is very inexpensive for a mission trip because it is designed, organized, and managed by Donnie Lehmann and the teams from the other churches in attendance.
Description: Leadership Lab is a week long camp embracing leadership, wrestling with ones faith, building friendships that will last a lifetime, and a ton of fun! Please note that there are two registrations for Leadership Lab, one for Hope which is for transportation and one for the event itself.
If you have a little time and can fill one (or more) open food drive shifts at Busch's in Farmington Hills, C.A.R.E.S. in Farmington Hills would appreciate your support! READ MORE
