Call for Nominations for Science Committee Co-Chair
The online election for Science Committee co-Chair will be from January 28-Febuary 8, 2019. This position is Kristen Rasmussen's current position.
Term of service: One year (Feb, 2019-Dec 31, 2019).
Nominations for co-Chair will be accepted until January 23, 2019. Please send nominations (including self-nominations) to Lynne Schreiber and include a brief biographical sketch, statement of intent, and photo.
The Chair (Emma Aronson, who also serves as the Committee's representative on EarthCube’s Leadership Council), and co-Chair (to be elected) have joint responsibility for operation of the Committee. In consultation with the Chair, the co-Chair will typically chair and develop the agenda for Committee meetings.
The Science Committee is tasked with maintaining the connection between the academic geoscience and technology communities in EarthCube, and ensuring that end-user requirements are identified and prioritized.
Eligible voters include EarthCube members who attend the Committee’s monthly meetings and are members of the listserv group. Voters will receive their ballots by email.
