We can't believe it's Thursday already! We hope everyone has had a great meeting so far.
The big event today is the EarthCube Town Hall, located in the Marriott Marquis Independence D at 12:30 this afternoon. NSF EarthCube Program Director Eva Zanzerkia, ESSO PI Mohan Ramamurthy, and Leadership Council Chair Ken Rubin will be giving presentations, including NSF updates, major ESSO developments, and a progress report and strategic directions from EarthCube leadership. There will be a question and answer session - don't miss the important annual event!
We're still going strong with oral presentations, posters, and demos. This morning's focus is all about open and FAIR data. EarthCubers will want to head over to Room 209A-C for the morning sessions, FAIR Data Is Not Enough: Communicating Data Quality and Making Analytical Code FAIR, and Data for Our Changing Earth: Impacts of Open Access to Quality Geospatial Data from Trusted Sources.
Over in the exhibition hall, we will have demos from Weiming Hu "Ensemble of Many" (10:30-11:30), Hongjie & Miao Xin "ArcCI" (11:30-12:00), Chad Trabant, Tim Ahern "GEOSciCloud" (13:30-14:00), Joe Hamman "Pangeo" (14:00-15:00), and Ethan Davis "netCDF" (15:00-16:00).
