New Council of Funded Projects

We invite all current and past EarthCube projects to send a representative to a new Council of Funded Projects (CFP) - new projects will be there! We're fortunate to have Basil Tikoff as initial lead for this working group. If you would like to be added to the CFP roster, please email omeier@hawaii.edu. The first two meetings are scheduled for Thurs., Oct. 17 and Nov. 14, 12:30 pm ET (calendar).

AGU Presentations

Help us promote your EarthCube work!

The AGU Fall Meeting scientific program (Dec. 9-13, 2019)  has been released. We’re excited there are so many accepted submissions involving EarthCube projects, groups, and efforts – congratulations to AGU participants!

The EarthCube Office would like to help support and promote your work. We've started an AGU19 spreadsheet for EarthCube entries and are up to 46 EC entries at AGU. A second page invites your recommendations for other presentations of strong interest to EC people.

Please take a look  to see whether your presentation has been captured, and provide any project names, twitter users or hashtags, and URLs we can use to call attention to your work. Let EarthCube offer you twitter support during the conference!

Lynne Schreiber will be inviting people to sign up to showcase EarthCube work at the AGU EarthCube booth (on NSF row - a great location) or just help talk with other geoscientists: email lbschreiber@ucsd.edu to volunteer. If you have project materials to distribute (e.g., flyers, postcards), let us know - those can be distributed at the EarthCube booth as well.

Updating EarthCube Tools Inventory and Resources

We'd like to update the EarthCube Tools Inventory webpage before AGU, and need your help. If you have a tool here, please send updated info to omeier@hawaii.edu. If your tool is not on this page, please let us know! There are some great portals and tools funded in whole or part by NSF EarthCube not yet included, and we want to feature your work to the geosciences community!

We'll also update an EarthCube Resources doc that includes these tools, other EarthCube products, and select products built outside of EarthCube of high value to geoscientists, so please get in touch if you have a product or a suggestion. Thanks very much.
