The Japan Foundation, Sydney is proud to support Tearing the Mask, a week-long exploration of Japanese performance presented by Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), February 10-15. Discover the incredible diversity of Japan’s theatrical landscape through free film screenings, panel discussions, talks and demonstrations featuring international guests and local experts. This rich program offers a rare opportunity to delve into some of Japan's more enigmatic performance genres such as Butoh, Noh and Kabuki, and to find out more about what motivates and inspires artists in these fields.

We hope all you borrowers out there enjoyed your holiday reading! The library will be open from January 13 - 31 to process returns. The magazine and newspaper lounge remain open during this period, but the rest of the library will be closed to prepare for our move. Also note that this month is your last chance to snap up free books being given away from the library collection.
